- Rick Munro
- The owner of Greenside Environmental Services is Rick Munro. Rick is a former golf course superintendent with 20 years experience in the golf course industry. Rick has been the environmental coordinator at several golf courses and holds professional certificates from the University of Guelph in Environmental Management of the Golf Course, Turfgrass Management and Golf Course Design and Construction. Rick was the environmental monitor at the Chateau Whistler Golf Course and the driving force behind Audubon certification. The Chateau Whistler is one of a few BC golf courses to attain full Audubon Sanctuary status. Rick has participated in the Western Canada Turfgrass Association's Travelling Annual Road Show in 2009. He spoke to turfgrass professionals across BC about the Audubon certification process and the responsibility of the turfgrass industry to achieve and promote environmental reliability. Rick is a regular contributor to Inside Golf online magazine, writing about golf course maintenance practices and how they relate to the game of golf and environmental accountability.
